About Tamon Studios
Our Story
How did Tamon Studios get started?
Tamon Studios was created by musician and educator Obrine Tamon with a vision that goes beyond simply teaching students how to play an instrument. After years of performing, producing music, and helping others develop their musical abilities, Obrine recognized that music education could also be used to build confidence, discipline, creativity, communication, and other important life skills.

The idea for Tamon Studios grew from a desire to create a welcoming learning environment where children, teenagers, and adults could explore music without feeling intimidated or pressured. Every student learns differently, so Tamon Studios focuses on personalized instruction that meets students at their current level and helps them progress at a pace that feels challenging, encouraging, and achievable.
The name Tamon Studios represents a space where music education and creativity come together. The studio offers instruction in drums, piano, bass guitar, voice, recording, and music production, along with beginner music coaching for students who are still discovering which path is right for them.

Based in Northern Virginia, Tamon Studios was built to serve a diverse and growing community of families, students, musicians, and aspiring creators. Lesson options may include mobile instruction, online learning, and flexible local arrangements, making music education more accessible to students with different schedules and needs.

At the heart of everything we do is our mission: Teaching Life Skills through the Arts. Our goal is to help students become stronger musicians while also becoming more confident, focused, creative, and capable individuals.
